I heard the sound of takbir
chanted in the mosque near the house. The heart feels vibrate, the heart is
full of happiness will celebrate the big day of Muslims. The next morning,
preparing to perform the Eid al-Fitr prayer, I met all my friends apologizing to
each other, what a beautiful atmosphere on a Eid day. But for an ordinary
family, even on a big day we have to struggle to make a living. Mother prepares
food on the Eid not for the feast, but for sale in the shop. We opened a shop
with a sad atmosphere, saw cars roaming the streets, busy to meet relatives, my
brother and I guarded the shop with a very beautiful view of the Eid. I don't
know how Allah yet, why I’m so stupid at a young age that I don't know who Allah
is, He is the one who is able to turn day into night, night into day, change
what lives into death and what makes death into life, nothing is difficult for Allah,
let alone just turning a poor person into a rich man, every holiday I have to
keep a shop, nothing is used as entertainment except cars that roam the
streets. Every Sunday, TV stations always broadcast their favourite cartoons
for children, it's very fun to enjoy the atmosphere of the week, sleep, pray,
take a bath, watch television as much as you like. But that didn't happen to
me, every Sunday I had to help my mother cook in the morning, open a shop and stay
the shop until maghrib. And how stupid I was, not even as a teenager thinking
about the future, of ideals and thinking how to achieve all of them. In my mind
only how to travel, take a vacation, please myself.
I guard the shop all day on Eid,
hoping that many customers will look for rice on that day, but we were wrong,
no one bought rice, until maghrib arrived, the money I got was only IDR 35,000.
This is really unfortunate fate, hoping to get a lot of sustenance on Eid, but
no one buys food. Keeping a shop is fun and sometimes annoying, it's fun
because we can meet a lot of people from the streets, they are very
entertaining when guarding the shop and it's annoying that there are rarely
customers who come. If I knew the power of prayer, maybe I could be successful
faster than today (ps. I can said Alhamdulilah), the power of prayer, fasting,
dhikr, tahajjud, sholawat, I will surely do everything. For almost 23 years my
mother has owned a food outlet, not even once did she get a lot of money to
meet the needs of the family.
Only at the age of 23 did I know Allah,
just know Allah, and run after Allah. And as soon as the catering contract with
the company was finished, my brother suggested to open a business in the form
of spicy food which is very popular with Indonesians, with the intention of
helping the family, we opened a spicy food outlet. And masyaALLAH, everything
is beyond our expectations, our shop has become one of the best-selling stalls
in my place, if in the past it was very painful to spend IDR 100,000, now
spending IDR 1,000,000 does not feel heavy. All thanks to Allah, all because we
are close to Allah, there are so many miracles that Allah has given after I got
to know him. Glory be to Allah for all the graces and gifts that He has
bestowed upon me and my family.
